WHAT TO BRING

Participants will NEED to bring their own SWIM, BIKE, and RUN apparel and gear, including (but not limited to):

  • Swim Goggles
  • Swim suit (or Tri Suit)
  • Running shoes
  • T-shirt (we recommend something technical & moisture-wicking) and appropriate apparel for cycling and running
  • Facemask (as required by local city guidelines:  chicago.gov/covid)

We also recommend bringing any OPTIONAL triathlon-specific gear and items that might make your racing experience more enjoyable:

  • Triathlon shorts (cycling/running shorts with a moisture-wicking pad)
  • Cycling shoes (bike pedals are dual sided for sneakers or SPD compatible cycling shoes)
  • Headphones/music (are permitted for INDOOR triathlons)
  • Sports nutrition (gels, gatorade, spare water bottle, etc.)
  • Extra face-masks (to replace any that might get sweaty or wet!)
  • Gym/Transition bag (you may set up your transition area along the large raised pool deck area - but no nudity on the pool deck please!)

Towels and Locker Room access are available. 
The men's locker room requires bringing your own locker lock for secure storage.  The women's locker room uses a keycard system - simply provide your ID at the front desk for a locker keycard.

SPORTS NUTRITION & HYDRATION
Water bottles, Electrolyte hydration options, and light snacks (bananas, bars, etc) will be available to all during the event. Athletes may wish to bring additional nutrition (gels, etc.).
